We can tell you how good it is, but maybe you'd like to hear it from our guests.
5 March 2009 - Catskiing is the way to go! - Darin Joseph
What an amazing time, catskiing is definitely the way to go! The glamour of a helicopter may lure some people away but there is no doubt that catskiing is a way better value as well as a far more intimate experience (get you head out of the gutter). The interaction with the guides and other guests is so much more fun and the terrain you guys got us to would simply not happen at most heli ski operations, it was fantastic, Big Kahuna...1800 vertical of delicious pow, need I say more? The guides and cat drivers were awesome, great positive attitudes, there is no doubt your employees love their jobs. The photography was incredible, $80 for all those pics and in hi res, killer value. Thanks again, can't wait for the next trip.
21 February 2009 - Our Best Experience Was A Day with You Guys - Lynn & Duncan Campbell
Whistler Blackcomb has lots of things to enjoy but by far our best experience was a day with you guys. Leeane and Seamus were terrific guides, very experienced plus fun at the same time, having a broken leg I had a fabulous day upfront in the cat with Steve a very informative and funny guy. Then to top it off Mike captured some awesome powder shots of my son Duncan. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants a great powder day out in the mountains.
12 February 2009 - Simply Amazing! - Tom Hardle
Hi Guys, Thanks again for a simply amazing time on 12Feb. The care and attention to making sure everyone had the best of times was exceptional. Just two small things that could add to the experience: - some sort of higher grip flooring in the Cat cabin, maybe something from the boating world? - a "rogue's gallery" of all the crew on the website so that when we have come back down to earth after an amazing day we can go and see who gave us such a wonderful time. I'll be back.
12 February 2009 - First Time Catboarding And I Never Expected It To Be So Good! - Cassandra Ellis
I couldn't pick one bad thing about the day! It was great to see the staff so organized & professional but still able to have fun too! This was my first time catboarding and I never expected it to be so good! Also helped to be with great guides, a good group, sun and powder! Thanks!
2 February 2009 - Words Can't Describe How Great The Overall Experience Was - Laura Purvey
This was the best day of snowboarding I have ever had, ever! We went on Feb 2/09, it snowed about 15 cm the night before, so when the rest of Whistler was riding groomed runs on the mountain, with a little bit of fresh, we were waist deep in powder all day long! I've lived in Whistler for 3 yrs, and have never had a day like this, even with all the snow we had over the last 2 seasons. I'm in the backcountry a lot, on Whistler and Blackcomb and usually by the end of the day, you're running into other people's tracks. not on Powder Mountain! Fresh lines all day long! Our guides were Seamus and Leanne, with Michael taking pictures (which turned out great!) And Bailey driving the cat. There were a few in our group that had never been in powder before, half way through the day they were keeping up with the group. The guides we excellent, and with their extensive knowledge on the snow pack and the terrain, made sure everyone in the group had an epic day! Words can't even describe how great the overall experience was! Thank you so much! I will be highly recommending this to everyone I talk to!
19 March 2008 - One of The Most Awesome Days of My Life - Matt Morris
I just wanted to thank you guys for what has to be one of the most awesome days of my life. I skied with you on the 19th March - with Seamus and Nick guiding. The organisation on arrival was impeccable with no question left unanswered. Arrival at the lodge was a worry as I could not see where the snow was but no worry. 40 mins later and we were 'up top' and about to experience some amazing snow. Seamus and Nick had a great attitude all day - even after my ski took a solo trip down big kahuna ! Keep up the good work guys - my thanks also to Mike for some great pictures. Hope to see you again someday. Cheers
12 March 2008 - The Best - Sarah W
Just wanted you to know that my day catboarding was one of the best days I've had on a snowboard ever!
Initially I was reluctant to do the whole catboarding thing. I was a little nervous about pretty much everything. I worried that it may be too difficult for me, that I wouldn't be able to keep up, that the terrain may be too steep, or I may get lost in the trees. I was also a little scared of being way out there and feeling unsafe. Also what about riding in that cat? I've heard about the "crazy places those things can go". Now all I can think about is how to get my mitts on a season pass!
I couldn't believe I had worried about all these things. There was nothing difficult about flying through those beautiful open bowls like a hot knife through butter. Everything was perfect. The guides made you feel safe from the word go. Their professionalism throughout the entire day maintained that feeling of being in the best possible hands. Their attitudes were fantastic, really made the experience 5 star across the board (that's if the 30cms of fresh and bluebird skies weren't enough).
My fear of the cat was short lived. It was quite the fun ride, these are incredible machines and most comfortable too. However the best thing about this particular cat was it's driver Gord. Talk about entertainment! This is one fun guy, he is bordering on comedic genius. I didn't want to miss a single word coming out of his mouth. Riding up front in the cat all the way out was the best possible end to the best possible day. I didn't want to leave. I can't wait to come back.
.......best views, best powder skiing/ boarding and the best people! Thank you so much.
11 March 2008 - Fantastic Time - Feet Banks
Just wanted to tell you that we had a fantastic time catboarding last week and it really was the best day I can remember in a long long time. That Cypress zone is so sick. Semele was ripping and so stoked. Chili couldn't stop letting out deep relaxing sighs and Gribbon kept quoting
my old buddy Denis Fontaine and saying "Does it get any better than this?". It doesn't.
Great snow, great peeps. Love the new seats. Catskiing is the absolute best. Can't believe you get to ride that till you're ninety! YEE HAW!
17 February 2008 - It's like a limo - Jon Rees
Imagine taking a limo ride up the hill to go snowboarding….that is what Powder Mountain Catskiing felt like for me. One of the best experiences of my life that I will always remember.I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like they own a mountain
17 February 2008 - Livin' The Dream - Rob Michaels
Easily the most amazing day I've ever had in my life with snow under my feet. Doesn't get better than this. I was livin' the dream and Powder Mountain Catskiing made it happen. Someone should buy those guys a drink
17 February 2008 - An extremely well-run operation! - Joe Polito
An extremely well-run operation! Bigger vertical than I had imagined….and awesome snow! Don (our guide) was a tonne of fun to hang out with. Gord (our driver) had the speed and precision of a Jedi Knight! One of my best memories from the entire 07/08 season and awesome pics to choose from too!
5 & 6 February 2008 - I'll be back - Craig Nicholls
I'm selling my skis on eBay and taking up Tiddlywinks. In my 30 years of skiing I have never seen powder, terrain or guides like what these guys have to offer. Curse you Powder Mountain, I'm ruined. And will somebody "PLEASE" have a butter tart. Thanks to Don, Gord, Shaymus, and the rest of the crew. I'll be back.
11 January 2008 - Incredible Playground - Josh Gelman
Ken, Huge thanks for sharing your incredible playground with us last Sunday. I'm sitting here at my desk back in NYC and I still can't seem to wipe the smile off my face. I'm sure you could say "Best Day Ever" for any day you get to jump off the back of the Bully at the top of the hill, but Sunday was one for the books and one I'll never forget. You guys run a hell of an operation - tons of thanks to Nick for picking the shots, Todd for digging me out, and Gordon and his "Super Heatah" for getting us back to the top for just one more. I know we'll get a chance to do it again. I also know it won't be soon enough. Have a great rest of the season. Cheers, Josh
31 January 2008 - Ivan Spector and "The Ripper"
I wanted to thank you guys for your contribution to Shelby "The Ripper" Spector's "Greatest Week Ever". Personal regards to Nick, Big Mac, Gord, Angel, Ty, Simon (my Hero), Bailey, and Jesse Bytheway for what was initially 1 day that tuned to 2 of fantastic skiing. You run a very professional and fun operation and it was an absolute pleasure to make tracks with you guys. The memories that were immortalized in pictures will have me smiling for the many years to come. And Simon, thanks for the rescue - that's what I get for letting the Ripper lead. You guys were FIRST CLASS all the way. Expect me to send all those good skiers that come out to your area to see you. Kindest personal regards - Ivan Spector
29 January 2008 - Henry Bereznicki and Ross Kneteman
Ross and I would like to compliment you and your team on a couple of great days of cat skiing. Nick, Don, Shaymus, Jeff, Shelley and Gord are a terrific crew, kudos on the great customer service.
Hope to see you again next year
26 February 2007 - Bob Plummer
Just a short note to say how much I really enjoyed my day of Cat skiing. As it was my very first time I must say the guides – Seamus and Jib - were wonderful in getting me going in the deep powder. I had a tremendous day and can easily see how one gets hooked on skiing powder. I shall have to return again next year!
25 February 2007 - Martin Wallin
This experience was beyond the Seventh Heaven! The best powder anyone of us has ever carved! We had to rephrase our saying "pudder til pungen" (powder to the balls) to "pudderplugger i nesa" (powder boogers in the nose). A great thanks to Ty, Stu and Randy who safely guided us to the awesome powder spots! Maybe you'll remember "Joik er sterkere en krutt!" Best regards from Kjetil, Trond and Martin (even we can't tell us appart) -"he lå le låla..." ;)
8 January 2007 - Rhonda L, Whistler
I just want to say thank you so much for getting me up to Powder Mountain.
WOW what crazy snow up there.....I had so much fun with Jen, Cam and Bob
they were so wonderful and helpful. I fell a lot and I am paying for it today,
but what a great group of people you have working for you up there.
It was wonderful
14 May 2006 - Matt Johnson, Burton Snowboards
A HUGE thanks for the epic cat day with your crew. You guys have an excellent operation... super good vibe,
everything was great from the guides and cat driver to you and your crew...good times, for sure. I just saw the
shots: good stuff. I'll definitely be back for some mid-winter shred!
9 May 2006 - John Hernandez, Seattle
AWESOME DAY. The highlight of my season, maybe the best day of skiing I have ever had!
8 April 2006 - Rachael Oakes-Ash, Oz
I didn't know what powder was 'till I went Cat Skiing! Bring it on, I say, this is what makes Canada
a ski mecca and me a fresh tracks addict. There's no choice but to return to feed my new addiction.
Jib, Stefan and Danny - you rock!
6 April 2006 - David Friend, Burton Inc
Hey, HUGE THANK YOU for our day of cat boarding. It was ridiculously fun! I am definitely
hooked. Whenever they unchain me from my desk next, I'll try
to get out to BC again and this time I'll sell my car so the I can book 2 weeks straight of cat time!
It was great sick gnar gnar shredding with you guys, the cat driver, Jib and all the guides, Max,
and the whole crew. Thanks Again!
3 April 2006 - Ryan Simpson, USA
The experience was amazing! We had a crew that was made up of people who had snowboarded
for years and some that just started last year and they all had an unbelievable time. It didn't matter that
we were tired at times or had some major wipeouts, the powder was there and we had to be too!
Thanks for a great first experience.

Taku was very personable, made all of us feel comfortable and seemed really passionate about us having
a good time. Thank you also for always making sure the people at the back were having a good time
and helping us borders over the flat sections where we were all getting stuck. You did an awesome job!
Also a big thanks to Danny our Cat driver, who also did a really great job. It was nice that even though he
wasn't riding with us it still felt like he was part of the group. A big thank you for warming my gloves up too!
Anyways, happy days. Hope we will see you up there soon.
14 March 2006 - Tabetha Boot, Whistler
I had an absolutely awesome time. The guides were phenomenal, whipping us around, finding
great powder and keeping a great pace for us to get lots of runs in. The driver was fantastic and the
photographer got some great shots of the group 'shredding the gnar.' The
day as a whole was a huge highlight for me this season.
13 March 2006 - Phil Tahmindjis, Denver
As a three time winter olympian, and former international pro snowboard Coach I have
had alot of great days on the snow, eather out of a Heli or ripping around one of
the many resorts I ride in every year. I have to say I had the best days of my
life with Powder Mountain. The snow was ....epic, the guides were fun and safe, and
the place just rules. I'll be back with many friends!
12 March 2006 - Maria, Whistler
Four of us used our gift certificates to go up with Powder Mountain Catskiing on Sunday
and had an awesome time! Besides the spectacular weather and powder, the guides, drivers
and photographer did a great job of making sure we all had fun. I am looking forward to
getting our copy of the pictures, so I can send some to my family in Ontario.

I'm writing you to express our appreciation for a wonderful experience skiing with you.
Max and I were very pleased with your professional, client oriented approach. In my opinion
the best value of your business is your people. Just skiing for one day I find that:
- Kondrat will sense your (client's) character and define the easiest way to
give you confidence and to teach you the skills that you need to perform powder skiing.
- Dervy, for whom the mountain is a life, embraced savvy experience about every side
of the mountain: rocks, snow, and wild life. He will carefully design the skiing lead in
the most exiting, safe way.
- Sam. If your muscle are burned and you are about to give up Sam will give you
the second wings and make you smile. At the fastest speed he will shoot your picture
and make you look like a "powder skiing star", if you are not already.
We have great memories and look forward to skiing with you again in the near future.
06 February 2006 - Dave Simon
I just wanted to send quick e-mail to thank you all for the awesome time we had last Sunday.
We had the pleasure of riding with Ken and a bunch of the pros and couldn't have had better conditions. We
had a blast watching them go off, hitting stuff we usually see in the mags. I was wondering if you can tell
me the names of the riders and the photographers we were with? I would love to have a look to see
what they're up to in the future.... Thanks again for the memories!
30 January 2006 - Tom Hansen, Aspen Colorado
Just wanted to drop you guys a line to thank you again for the great time
Chuck, Mike and I had last Wednesday with the group from extremely Canadian.
We will be telling those stories for some time. We will highly recommend
anyone heading that way to look you up. Also thank Nick for showing the way
to the "Big Kahuna", and Conrad for picking up the pieces!
January 23, 2006 - D
I had the pleasure of riding with you and a group of amazing people back on Jan 18th. I've been boarding
a long time and this was the best thing I've ever done. I've done Heli and Powder Mountain absolutely blows them away.
You guys run a fabulous operation. Great safety course, friendly and professional staff and
deep powder. If you still have theh pictures I'll pay you for them, work for free, wax your truck, or rub two sticks
together and make you a fire. I'd really appreciate it. Also a special thanks to: Gordon, Nick, Conrad, Ken and our
cat driver. For as long as I can still ride I'll be coming back. You can bet I'll pass the word along to everyone I know about
your operation. Oh yeah and hey Ken that chick Wendy is "the BOMB"!
27 January 2006 - Todd Gallagher RN BC Children's Hospital
I was up skiing in the most awesome powder and terrain I've ever had the pleasure of being in yesterday (Jan 27 2006)!
Just wanted to thank Don, Nic , Dave and Sam for a great day. Those guys rock! I'm hooked and will be back for more soon.
Thank you again, a great company and great staff!
P.S. I will be telling all my friends about you guys! Cheers
January 2006 - Shawna Dopierala/ Daniel Mitchell - Pan Pacific Hotel Whistler
Thank you again for the "In case of lift lines open door" epic powder runs on Tricouni!
We all had an amazing time shredding untracked powder and hanging out in the snowcats... What a great memory!
We will be sure to recommend Powder Mountain Catskiing for our "Powder Hound" guests looking for that extra special experience.
You guys were fantastic - we had a great time!
